MCE has designed and manufactured several DC motor drives suited for lifts, platforms and elevators.
The most recent model is composed of one control board and one power board, fixed to an aluminium heat sink; the two boards are placed in a plastic housing.
The control board generates signals for drive operations; starting from information generated by a control panel and information coming from an encoder, it manages the speed and the displacement using a PID controller.
The power board is based on a number of MOSFET adequate to guarantee the required power, protected from over currents, generated for instance by a short circuit.
Main technical characteristics:
• it possible to set operating parameters (speed, accelerating and decelerating ramp);
• it is possible to select the parameters of PID controller to achieve best performances;
• it is capable of manage an electric brake and to set the insertion and disengagement delays;
• it is possible to set alarm thresholds (i.e. minimum input voltage, maximum operating temperature);
• an RS232 line for connection to a Personal Computer is available. The interface is used for monitoring the status of the unit and of the motor e for programming parameters;
• the parameters can be programmed using an LCD display and some keys available on the unit;
• in case of anomalous events, these can be stored in the unit.
